help lead
the website for the Alliance for Excellent Education. The Alliance is a national policy and advocacy organization whose mission is to make every child a high school graduate - to prepare them for college, work, and to be contributing members of society. The Center for Public Education is a national resource for accurate, timely, and credible information about public education and its importance to the well-being of our nation. The Center provides up-to-date research, data, and analysis on current education issues and explores ways to improve student achievement and engage public support for public schools. It is a joint initiative of the National School Boards Association (NSBA) and National School Boards Foundation.
Created in 1996 by the nation’s governors and corporate leaders, Achieve is an independent, bipartisan, non-profit education reform organization based in Washington, D.C. that helps states raise academic standards and graduation requirements, improve assessments and strengthen accountability. In 2006, Achieve was named by Education Week as one of the most influential education groups in the nation.
