As we enter the 21st Century, school boards will confront many diverse and complex issues. These include continuing improvement in student achievement, attracting and retaining high quality professional staff, and securing sufficient, equitable funding. The Four County School Boards Association believes board members must be ready and able to lead their communities and influence lawmakers as they address these challenges. The Association can help strengthen their leadership skills and their advocacy efforts by setting high standards in the areas of board development, legislative activity, and opportunities to come together to share concerns and successes.
